2022 Revision of the Mathematics Framework
The California Section of Education (CDE), Instructional Quality Commission (IQC), and State Board of Educational activity (SBE) have commenced the revision process for the Mathematics Framework for California Public Schools: Kindergarten Through Grade Twelve (Mathematics Framework). The framework is important guidance designed to aid educators align classroom pedagogy with California's rigorous math learning standards. Information and updates concerning the revision of the Mathematics Framework will be posted here.
The revised Mathematics Framework posted below reflects input from California parents, educators, students, and others who commented during the first 60-day field review flow in early 2021 and during the IQC'due south May 2021 meeting. At its meeting on November 3, 2021, SBE revised the Schedule of Significant Events (Timeline) for the 2022 Revision of Mathematics Framework. The Timeline was originally approved by the SBE on May 8, 2019, and was previously revised on September 11, 2019, May 7, 2020, and July 14, 2021.
Mathematics Framework Second Field Review
At its May 19–20, 2021, coming together, the IQC recommended the draft Mathematics Framework to the SBE, awaiting a 2nd 60-day period of public review and comment. That review period began on March fourteen, 2022, and will continue through May 16, 2022. The public review and annotate period is an opportunity for interested individuals or organizations to provide comments and suggested edits to the SBE.

The CDE conducts the revision of the frameworks in a very transparent way. All of the meetings (Math CFCC, the Instructional Quality Committee, and the Land Board of Education) during which the content of the framework is discussed are open up to the public and members of the public are encouraged to give public comment.
